Home Remedies - Toothache Pain Cures

In this article you are going to learn about home remedies for toothache pain. This very common condition can be rather frustrating and difficult to live with, so it's important that you do as much as possible to treat it. Keep reading to learn about some excellent home remedies you can use to help you treat the pain of a toothache.

One of the cheapest ways to treat a toothache at home is to chew a piece of raw onion. Now this may not sound particularly appealing, but believe you me, it is extremely effective as the onion works to kill the germs and bacteria which cause the problem in the first place. Also, it is extremely cheap to do; you probably already have an onion lying around your house, if not, it is a matter of spare change to buy one. However, make sure that you remember to thoroughly clean your teeth afterward.

Another one of the most popular home remedies and toothache pain cures is to dissolve an aspirin on the affected tooth itself. This will not taste particularly pleasant, but it is quite an effective way to target the actual site of the pain itself. Also, because you probably have aspirin lying around it won't cost you anything.

If you have whiskey lying around at home then take a shot glass full and swill and gargle it around in your mouth. This will absorb into your gums and soothe the pain quite rapidly. Simply spit it back out after a minute or two of gargling. This has been a time-tested and much touted home remedy for toothache pain, and it certainly is effective.

  1. I use a combination of garlic and a little rock salt when my tooth hurts, and it effectively kills the pain. Gargling a saline solution is also a good option. But what I really like most is whiskey. Unfortunately, we don't always have a bottle of whiskey at home. LOL!
